As temperatures heat up, and the fun, fast days of summer arrive in full, its important to check in with children and young people (and adults too!) to assess how they are doing so that increased time together can be a positive experience for everyone.
We want to help remind you that OCMH provides a handy Feelings Thermometer to assist. This handy tool is available in 11 languages and is easy to hang on the fridge, bedroom doors, or anywhere in the home or space that can provide a reminder to “check our emotional gauges.”
If you are familiar with the tool, you know how valuable it can be in helping children and young people be present and stay connected to themselves. There is also a Early Childhood Feelings Thermometer for children ages 0-5, to help young ones start early in naming their feelings.
